After working at another veterinary practice in North Tyneside for nearly 3 years, I was offered the opportunity to become a member of the St Clair family. I started here in February 2015 and have quickly found my place within the team. At home I have 2 dogs Meg and Joey, a cat called Loki a guinea pig named Rubble and a goldfish named Luna, all of whom demand a lot of love and attention. When I am on reception I take any opportunity I can to cuddle visitors to the practice (only the furry four legged variety I should add!). I am happy to be working alongside such a lovely group of people who make everyone so welcome and provide an exceptional service to all of their clients. You really do feel part of a  family here.

I qualified from Edinburgh University in 2008, and then spent 2 years working in Central Queensland, Australia, where I had a wonderful tropical introduction to being a vet. After this I came back to the UK and in 2011 began working at a large veterinary practice in Newcastle,  I spent 4 years working in small animal practice.

I came to join the St Clair Veterinary Care team at the beginning of March 2015. I have two large ginger cats, Bert and Ernie, who are currently 5 years old. My interests include long distance running, as well as playing golf and football quite badly. I’ve adopted Newcastle United as my place to watch football, and will head to games whenever I can. I also take part in as many running events as my legs will cope with, mostly half marathons, but am building to a trail marathon in October 2016. When it comes to veterinary work, I enjoy canine and feline medicine, and have recently completed my certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (CertAVP) in August 2015. As well as medicine I also enjoy orthopaedics, investigating lameness and knee problems.
