Amy Fletcher – RVN Registered Veterinary Nurse
I completed a National Diploma in Animal Management at Kirkley Hall college before beginning my nursing career in 2010 at a large mixed animal practice as an Auxiliary Nurse. I then continued to train as a Student Nurse at a local large referral centre before joining the team at St Clair Veterinary Care in December 2012.
I completed my Veterinary Nurse training at Myerscough College in Preston, Lancashire, over the course of 2.5 years and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in November 2015.
I am completely animal mad and I have a great love for outdoor activities, clay pigeon shooting and gundogs. I have 4 gundogs of my own including 2 Cocker Spaniels called Scout & Ghillie, 1 English Springer Spaniel called Star (which is why I’m known as the crazy spaniel lady!) & 1 black Labrador called Tarn.
It has always been my dream since being a little girl to work within the veterinary profession and i particularly enjoy interacting with clients and the community, emergency nursing and nursing medical cases. I am currently completing a Certificate of Veterinary Nursing in Emergency & Critical Care – which I hope to complete in March 2018.
